Hi am new to this site and looking for some advice.
I have nexus 7 but the volume is not very loud, is there anything I can do to make it louder?
Also I want to watch films from my nexus onto my TV, how can I do this?
Any other advice you can give me on anything on nexus be great! Thanks
on point one, make sure to properly set the volumes in ALL of the locations in settings:
settings > sound > volumes etc
and
settings > Language & Input >
and
the volume control on side of tablet
and
the app you are using to produce the sounds
given that you have all those set properly, you can also use
apps that amplify the sound BUT use caution as the included
speakers are pretty easy to break by too high a volume set.
I use earphones / earbuds instead and they work better and sound better than the crap speakers.

on point 2 you can only connect to your tv via WiFi over LAN using any DLNA, UPnP, etc enabling application. Some examples would be the free iMediaShare and BubbleUpnP and that assumes you have a TV connected to your LAN via ROKU, SmartTV, etc and the Media Server app running.
edit: wired connection via HDMI cable is NOT possible since I/O circuits are not present on the N7
Some examples of Media Server Apps running on your desktop would be Plex, MediaMonkey, XBMC, TVersity, etc.
