New to rooting, HELP!

Hey Everyone!

I am new to rooting. I am currently running the Cyanogen Mod 7 (the official stable one) and was seeking to become a rom junkie. Anyone have ideas of what I should try to flash? I am moving this weekend and have three days off to play

I've been considering Warm TwoPointTwo RLS5 but I can't find a thread with the zip file in it.

Vaelpak for sure if your into sense/non-sense.
MIUI is a awesome experience also.

Vaelpak is a good rom. Used it for a long time. The dev for the rom is great.
CM7 & Vaelpak are the two I like.

where would I find the zip for Vaelpak? or atleast a screen shot and what the difference would be between that and what I am running. Same question goes to enzofall... what are the differences? In a nutshell, I want something that is highly customizable, has all the bells and whistles intact (4g, Bluetooth, etc) and runs very smoothly. One of my biggest pet peeves about the EVO is the battery life. I dont want to have to have an extended battery....

[ROM] VaelPak 3.2 RC1 [03/06/11] - NonSense - [Net 4.3.1] - 3.70.651.1 - xda-developers Here is his xda site. Also another cool thing he has is vaelpak settings that you can get from the market for free. Bunch of cool features are in that. The battery life is great on his rom. Everything is working, its built from htc source.

The difference between CM7 and Vaelpak is CM7 is AOSP and Vaelpak is from htc/Sense. Vael has removed a bunch of Sense so you won't see it, but there are widgets to add it in if you want.

try out Koni's Elite Series III. its pretty slick and its fast

also, for battery life try out different kernels....just make sure you use an AOSP kernel with an AOSP-based ROM and Sense for Sense-based
