new to samsung

This is my first Samsung phone. I upgraded from a moto x first gen. What tips and tricks do I need to know about this phone.

1. Buy and use a case on it, despite how "rugged" and tough you may think the device may be.
2. Underwater usage may have varying results. You may experience low or muffled audio for several hours, performance issues with the display, VOIDED Warranty. (Pay no attention to the underwater mode for the camera, I wouldn't recommend taking it into the water)

Enjoy the great camera, display and physical buttons! Despite the issues, I still love this device.

Also checkout Samsung Account as this is far superior to Android Device manager which is no use if location services are turned off

Enable Android Device Manager, create a Samsung Account, disable carrier bloatware or bloatware you don't use.

Thanks for the info. I put a clear case on the thing with a screen protector. I don't plan on getting it underwater, but accidents happen. So far I love it. It's bigger than my 13 moto x, but I'm getting used to it. Much easier to see the screen.
