I thought this would be a good way to say hello and avoid creating yet another thread from a smartphone newbie seeking words of wisdom. My name is Bryan from Oak Ridge, TN and I'm expecting my new Thunderbolt in two days.
Aftre reading the forums, I see that I have apparently made one of the following decisions: a bad decision, a great decision, or a questionable decision buying the Thunderbolt. Apparently the Thunderbolt is an awesome new device, or it's a terrible device, or it's a smartphone that can save the world if the battery will just last long enough. That sums up my first few hours of reading about my Thunderbolt investment.
I've never used an app but I have a faint idea what they do. I won't need GPS capability because I've already got three GPS units that I use for my geocaching adventures. Mainly I hope to use the TB for email and the internet while at work and on the road. Oh yeah, I hope to make a few phone calls with it too.
To everyone here, I promise to search the forums first to try and find an answer to my questions. I'll try not to ask the same question thats already been asked many times before me. Lastly, if I can learn anything useful as I put my TB through it's paces (see, I've already learned to use the TB acronymn for Thunderbolt), I will gladly share my newfound knowledge with all of you. Thanks in advance for your welcome and helpful advice.
