New Update! 45.2.7.en.us

Make sure you have superuser installed and it can open. That is the program that grants other programs root.

This update will work fine for those who are only rooted meaning still on stock rom and still locked bootloader but have SU. It is kind of tricky in that even after the update I still had SU.apk installed and it looked and opened fine but was not granting permission properly. The good news is the same exact root process works after the update which is a refreshing change from what I'm used to.

Also while I have your attention, hello to all those I know from my past phones/work! Yes, i'll be rocking the photon for a couple months :)

Update installed great. I had to do a battery pull because WiFi came up after the upgrade, but it wouldn't push data. After a battery pull it was all fine. I also had to re-root but the instructions in post #12 made that easy.

I have the same problem but I just switch to Airplane mode on / Off and waiting for a while. Then push data came back.

After the update, Agile stopped working properly. When I first installed it, it replaced the slider and my password pattern. Now, I have to do all three to get to home screen.

There should be options in agile settings to adjust methods used to prevent the stock lockscreen. After the update method 1 was hit or miss so I switched to method 2 and that seemed to resolve the issue more consistently. YMMV so try them out.

I also encounter the stock lockscreen from time to time when using Agile lock. This has caused me to use Widget Locker which completely overrides the stock lockscreen. I would prefer Agile lock if it worked consistently.

I had the same problem. I initially rooted with djrbliss one-click. When I heard about the update, I installed it and lost root as reported. I tried to root again with the one-click that I used before and it would not root. Finally, I decided to use the root method provided by shabbypenguin as if I was rooting for the first time and everything went fine....I was sure to uninstall the previous "super user" also before trying to re-root. Hope this is helpful in some way for you....

Yes, shabby's method worked flawlessly for me too!

My update was successful but I lost Root.. Time to RE-Root lol.. As for the wifi signal strength, It seems to be just slightly better but nothing drastic but I didn't have signal issues to begin with.

I went into settings>applications>manage applications found "superuser" and clicked on "uninstall updates". The rooting procedure appears to install a newer one when it completes....

I am here visiting in Thailand and my phone did the update on the gsm network. Now my wifi will not work at all. When I push to turn it on it just says error. (so much for improving my wifi) I am hoping when I get home and back on the sprint network it will work again. It was working fine here before the update. Anyone got any ideas?

UPDATE
After 3 days my phone did something like it started to reboot but it didn't and then everything started working. Guess it took a few days for the update to get to Thailand from the us. btw I bought an sim card here and the phone is working great.
