Thanks Stargate! BUT, when I go there I clicked on Sensor... ( I have brightness on full and auto off) and it only goes to level 3.... is it defective? I thought I read somewhere it is supposed to go to level 5? Please advise and thanks again!

Got mine yesterday. Only thing I noticed is that my battery took a dump during the night for the first time since I got the phone (and work me up at 5:00 a.m. with the low-battery warning). Looks like the app I was using prior to going to sleep decided to run amok all night, which has never happened before. You can see the dive start about 11:00 p.m. and continue all night when the phone was idle.

Don't know if this is an issue related to the specific app, but will monitor.

From what I have read on S4GRU and the Sprint forums, the most recent update is targeting a tower handoff issue (e.g. dropped calls) in Alcatel markets.

I don't remember anything about level 5.
Mine goes up to level 3 also, on green.
Level 2 is yellow and level 1 (when you cover the sensors) is red.

The update fixed my auto rotation, fixed my LED always on issue AND fixed my night click issue where the full screen is on but black during nightclock.... So it really did a lot for me... Also my battery seems to be a lot better but I still have to test that for a day or 2 more. One thing it didn't fix is all the lag and I believe memory leak issues and Sprint data.

I just had this update pushed to my Galaxy S6 Edge by Sprint. Immediately upon downloading my phone disconnected from the network and hasn't been able to send or receive calls, texts or any form or data exluding Wi-Fi. I tried updating the profile, PRL, restarting the phone, everything. Nothing is working my $700 phone has been basically useless for about the last 5 hours.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS SPRINT UPDATE

I downloaded the update and installed it just fine. I don't think that since you had a problem that a blanket recommendation to not take the update is correct. I do believe that you should take your phone into a Sprint store to have it either fixed or replaced, however. But then again you do have 1 post...

I got this update on Wednesday (5-13-15). I had several issues before the update: Screen rotation did not work, I had purple spots on photos taken with the front facing camera, and Bluetooth would not stay connected to any device. I factory reset my Sprint S6 Edge several times with no change. After the update I am extremely happy to report that ALL issues have been fixed!!!

Exactly my thoughts...

This is the update to Samsung has been advertising for weeks to fix a lot of major issues. It confirms some of the bugs were software in nature, and NOT hardware like a lot of malcontent whiners were implying.

64 gig owner that suffered through the auto rotate hooplah....

Despite having made arrangements to, I had never gotten my phone fixed nor exchanged due to my schedule and impromptu trips; however, I updated my phone just yesterday and when i accidentally double clicked the home button, i saw that the camera was oriented in portrait mode. Whoever has suffered with the auto rotate issue will know that the phone is stuck in portrait, except when in the camera/youtube app, for whatever reason. I checked the adminstrative settings (*#0*#) and saw that, despite my screen finally rotating, the X accelerometer was still stuck at an extreme.
This is the only change i have seen, since getting the update. I dont know how, but it seems Sprint might have just beat everyone to it in creating a software solution to hardware problem. Im sure most who had dealt with the auto rotate issue have gotten their handsets replaced by this point, which could explain the 'lack' of noticed bugs being fixed.

Had googled, and there has been no mention of the s6 edge autorotate issue being fixed. First time post, hope this helps. PS there is a slight lag, when it comes to the image rotating, not sure if its always existed.

I updated and it caused my battery to drain at what looked like 1% per minute. My phone was also getting hot. I replaced the phone I bought and the second phone would not only drain the battery and get hot, the fingerprint scanner would not work. I'm on my third phone, have not done the update and it is smooth. I say don't update.

I downloaded the update and it fixed the auto rotation problem that I had since a week after buying the phone...YESSS!
