I believe it was. I now show having July security patch and Bixby is working great. I had the beta to start with

Still 7.0.

S8 will see 7.1.x after Note 8 release.

I personally am not going to switch to a network due to updates -- if you want updates get a Google phone. That is the only way to guarantee updates.
