New Update

I am on T-Mobile locked. When I try to download I get a pop-up that says "Couldn't download update The server has reached its daily download limit." What the heck? I have never seen that before.

I'm baffled why they'd have a daily download limit. I understand why they might want to limit the number of simultaneous downloads, to preserve available bandwidth by spreading out the downloads across the day. But a daily limit does the opposite, concentrating the day's downloads all at once at the beginning.

In any event, if you don't want to wait for the servers to be ready, you could try using Smart Switch on a PC, or else download with Frija and install with Odin.

Locked At&t and got the 2AVHD yesterday, the 1st. Only change I've seen is that the location finally shows accurately in the photo info. It took them long enough to fix that.

Got it yesterday on AT&T. I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping dynamic range and detail would finally match my Pixel 6 Pro. Nope and the S21 Ultra lags even farther behind. Nevertheless, 95% will think the camera is fine. I'm just one of those 5% that don't.

Thanks. Yeah that is also what the popup error said, but I have no idea how that even works. I have Smart Switch on my PC and I can't see any place in there to update the phone software at all. Maybe it doesn't do that anymore? I can't figure it out.

Nevermind I see it. It is at the bottom of the main screen, but it makes it look like it is just an update to Smart Switch itself so I was confused.

I have Smart Switch on my PC and I can't see any place in there to update the phone software at all. Maybe it doesn't do that anymore? I can't figure it out.

In the latest version, it's Menu | Preferences | Software Update

Daily download limits error I was seeing first thing in the morning. I ended up updating by Smart Switch on my PC.

A trick I learned a long time ago...when people are reporting an update is available (by your carrier) and you get the "Your device is up to date" message, try setting your device to a day or two in the future. Then check for the update again.

AVHF is OTA now for some US S908U1 (unlocked). If you're not receiving it yet, you can either wait, or download it via Frija (use any available CSC, e.g. TMB). and install via Odin.
