Just received a new update notification. Among the changelog is a mention of adjustment to the auto-brightness.

Yay! Thanks for reporting.
I'll be looking forward to see if it is available for me too when I'm in a better wifi location.

I'm hoping that the auto brightness will be normal now.

Haven't tested it much so far, but it seems to be hesitant to drop to the lowest setting now. And a bit smoother.

Haven't gotten it yet, thanks for the heads up! Awesome of them to keep pushing updates, would be amazing if they keep up with a monthly schedule (even though they promised quarterly).

Same, not available here yet. The updates are awesome, and I appreciate the auto brightness fixes with this one. Monthly updates would be awesome.

The auto brightness is definitely improved! Before it was extremely dim in my bedroom at the lowest brightness on auto, now it's almost like the previous 20% setting or so.

I got it. Fixed auto brightness and seems a little snappier but this could be placebo

I don't see anything new but then again I wasn't seeing the issues that the update supposedly fixed. We are still on the 9/1 security patch.

Finally got the update! It just popped up. Installing now.

I installed the update this evening. The auto brightness is different, but not better. Battery life seems worse. Lost 15% in two hours after install. Hopefully it settles out.
