I don't know where to post this since there is no forum for my phone. (Sanyo ZIO).

Why does my screen keep refreshing? The home screen (if that is what it is called) keeps going black then back again ... (no it isn't the screen time out).

So many more questions, but will not put all in one post.

It sounds like the launcher is closing on you. It shouldn't be happening often if you're using the stock launcher.

Mine did that as well for awhile (different phone though). Check the apps that you have downloaded..sometimes one tries to do things and won't hibernate correctly.

Get ready to not have to do a battery pull every other day!

Next question...I had a bb for years. Love my phone now!

So I switched from a BlackBerry Tour to the Evo and love it so far! But one of my questions is: On the BlackBerry there was an app called BerryBuzz that allowed you to change the notification light to any color you want. now is there any way I can do the same thing?

The LED on the Evo only does green and amber, I believe. That's actually the case for most Android LED's, unfortunately...

There are apps to do this, but they're really not worth downloading because of this.

As a recent Transfer from a BB I have to say I'm honestly surprised there isnt a comprehensive "Switched from a BlackBerry" thread with details like

"If you used Password Kepper on your BB try Keepass on your Android."

A good BrickBreaker substitute is ____________"

ETC.

Obviously a 1 to 1 app comparison would be overwhelming but for stock apps it would make sense.

I love the fact Google Calendars can be synched and color coded so much easier than on the BB. Set up a Gmail account for my son, added the school vacations & holdays to his calendar Synched it to mine. Easy as pie.

In some cases there are many options in the Android world where there was only the stock app in the BB world. Take profiles, for example. Or even Exchange clients if you were a BES user. Just because a group of people came from BB's doesn't mean that they'll necessarily prefer the same apps as each other on the Android side of the fence. The Android market is constantly growing and options continue to change.
