New Verizon OTA Update

Basically a pointless update for someone like me that never leaves my coverage area.

Yeah, I've never lost signal with Verizon in 5 years. Sprint and of course t-mobile needs this due to their lousy coverage. Not such a big deal for us verizon customers.

So let me see if I have this right. If I'm in an area with lousy cell coverage - let's say 3g with 1 bar of signal strength but I'm at home with a strong wi-fi signal, the phone call will actually be made through the wi-fi network and not the lousy cell connection?

Mine seems to default to my home WiFi not using the cellular connection at all when at home. I need do nothing.
So yes to your question.

Not sure if I like the icon design updates that came with this update. Looks like they deleted Samsung milk video app too. More space on phone. :)

The only new icon I got was for Android pay which took on the design of the icon pack I'm using. I went ahead and hid that one but I didn't get any others.

The wi-fi calling feature is useless for me, for 1 reason…

The requirement to enter my address won’t let me enter my actual address. I live in a suburb of Milwaukee and we have house numbers with letters in them, like W123N4567 Main Street. The house number field won’t allow me to enter letters.
