New Verzion update 1/6/21 still December security patch

Just got a new Verizon update on top of the 12/18/20 One UI 3.0 update. Still December security patch. Changelog in update dialog mentioned unspecified "other enhancements". Web changelog not yet updated. I'll let everyone know if I notice anything different.

Got it and it installed. Cannot find what was changed though

I guess I was 'asleep at the wheel' on this update. My Verizon Note 20 Ultra got an update a couple of days ago. Now, my backup software no longer works right. Nothing on the phone now can access the '/Android/data' directory. Poo. And even more odd. On my SD card, I have a directory called 'Pictures'. I have a '.nomedia' file in that directory, because I don't want those thousands of pictures to overwhelm the Gallery app. That file is gone AND I can't create a new one there. Very weird.

I have the same issue as some of my files are located in the data file. Has anyone found a way to access after this update without rooting the phone?

Verizon just updated yesterday to Jan, 1st build.
