I'm so excited. I wonder how fast the processor is? Price? Release Date? Unlockable Bootloader?

Virgin Mobile teases 4.1-inch Android phone with Snapdragon in survey -- Engadget Mobile

that link shows an old VM customer survey mentioning that the proc is same as Nexus/EVO..so I'm going to bet on 1Ghz at least

As far as price..gah. I hope it's <= $300.... we'll see I guess, summer availability I think
Unlockable bootloader...I wouldn't count on it. Motorola is the worst on that.
We should try to donate a phone like this to aosp. >.<

Good find. I guess that pretty much answers the question. I would think it would be more like the build of a DroidX. on the inside. Qualcomm?s new Snapdragon MSM8655 Processor - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum Possibly 1.2ghz

I need a time/date of release so I can sell my V!!!!

Maybe they will charge extra for this phone like they did with the BlackBerry.

From what I have seen of the summer release line up this lands squarely in the midrange field almost lower midrange. Every single stat is 1-2 steps under most everything being release. The clear watermark is the Android 2.2, everything being release as upper and high end are being released with 2.3. With the mass amount of tablets being planned for Honeycomb with releases from late summer to dec. simply blow this thing away. Its a nice phone but its all last years tech along with the fact that Moto is on avg hell to deal with to get rooted and ROMed I cant say I am looking forward to this phone as an ownership item but I see this being a phone to change our $25 plan since this phone will be a huge draw of costumers and bandwidth with functional flash. So this phone may be the demise of the $25 plan...

Will be midrange or less by release lmao
I fear where my V will rank by then :/

Good thing with pre-paid and non contract, we can sell or just toss our Optimus V when this phone is release. No need to wait for two years for a new phone.

You may want to wait until the darn thing is rooted before you toss your Optimus into the trash :)

While this looks good on paper, so did the Intercept, at least comparable to Optimus. The Intercept and the Optimus are like night and day in terms of bugs, stability, and usability.

I hope it turns out well.

Nice looking phone.

I like it has two cameras. Finally.

However it is a Motorola phone therefore the chance of me buying it is very slim.
The bootloader will be locked down. Simple as that. How many new Moto phones have a unlocked bootloader?

I will keep my eye on this phone just because it is a step up from the V, but I would rather step up to a much better phone for what I think the price on this is going to be.

Virgin Mobile seems to offer a low price of the initial launch of their new phones.
