Hello everyone, I just switched from IOS to Android. Is there a free way to unlock a Galaxy S5 at the moment? I did a lot of searching on the forum but I couldn't find an answer.

"Unlock" in what way? Carrier unlock? Call the carrier it's on (it has to be on the carrier that sold it) and ask for the unlock code, or go to their site and look for a link to "unlocking". If it's been moved to another carrier, you'll have to go to some place like eBay and buy an unlocking code for that particular phone. (Each phone has a different unlock code.)

Yeah, unlock as in SIM unlock. Also will the carrier just give you the code for...nothing? lol

Welcome to Android Central! It depends on which carrier and what their policy is. There are unlocking services, but I've seen plenty of posts here complaining that a purchased unlock code didn't work.
