Newbie - Flashing ROM

Hey,

1. I'm using a T-mobile phone in Canada. Do I need to specifically find a T-Mobile rom specifically or will any do? Are they carrier specific is my question.

2. Is the ROM different for a T-999 vs. i9300?

Please help. I am guessing yes to both - Need a specific rom for the exact phone but please help and confirm.

Yes for many reasons you need to flash roms that are fitted to your carrier only
In short the methods of connection and such are different for different carriers and many other things
