Hey everyone,
Just wanted to stop by and say Hello World. I am pretty new to the world of smart phones. I do have some experience with Linux; I've put together a couple of boxes running Ubuntu, one of them in RAID0 on two IDE drives, on one IDE controller. That took some time to figure out, but it was satisfying to get it done. So I know a little about Ubuntu, but virtually nothing about Android. I've also done some work with Red Hat Fedora, but not much.
I am a support technician for a small ISP in central TX, so I get some time to play around with different machines and learn about Linux, Windows(all post-95 versions), Java, and all manner of different programs and hardware. I don't much care for Macs. I try to avoid them.
Anyway...I'm looking forward to learning more about Android and my new Photon. I love it so far. I come from a BlackBerry, so this touch screen and a bunch of other things are still kind of a novelty for me. Just wanted to say hi to the group and introduce myself. So there you go.
