Newbie needs help with Calendars

I just make the jump to the Droid Inc. from BlackBerry. One of the questions I have is about calendars. I am currently on exchange, but I am wondering if there is a way to enter a calendar event to a calendar that is not my exchange calendar (like Gmail calendar). I couldn't find the option to choose the calendar (it defaults to the exchange calendar). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help; this answered the question. I feel kind of dumb that I didn't notice this when I entered a calendar event. This is a great forum!

I am using Jorte on my Evo. How can I keep events and birthdays from facebook from syncing to the Jorte calendar? I cannot find any options in either phone settings or Jorte where I do this. TIA for your help. Running new Froyo, btw.

I used Jorte for awhile but don't use it anymore. If I remember correctly, Jorte asks whether to sync from Google or your phone calendar. If it is syncing from your phone calendar you will need to change the setting in your phone calendar.

On the calendar (not Jorte), Menu > More > Calendars > and make sure that Facebook is not checked. (and any other calendar you don't want showing, such as weather, etc.)
