During research after preordering, I somewhere saw a reference to the note pro, stating that a screen protector would interfere with the use of the stylus. I've been VERY carefully using my new tablet with out one. Should I get a screen protector pronto, or go naked??

I got the Zagg Invisible Shield and had Best Buy install it so it was a good $50 but worth it to me. The stylus feels good in my opinion and I've had some screen protectors that totally made stylus use terrible but not this one.

This is really a matter of preference that each user must decide. Some people would never dream of using a phone or tablet without a screen protector, while others would rather give up their first born then be forced to use one.

I own the Note 8.0, Note 10.1 2014, Note Pro, and the Note 3 in which neither device has ever had a screen protector. I am not hard on my devices so I don't worry too much about scratching the screen. As far as pen input goes I think it depends on who installs the protector. If it's done right with no bubbles and unnoticeable then you shouldn't have a problem.

I personally enjoy the beauty of the screen, and don't want anything to hinder that experience. Please let us know what you decide.

Many years ago a put a Zagg on my BlackBerry and didn't like it. Ever since I've gone naked.

I've never bothered with screen protectors on any of my notes. I'm constantly scribbling on them, or playing bejeweled blitz, and the screens are still pristine. When I can be bothered to clean the fingerprints off!

I had my note 3 naked, built in screen protector on case, and now tempered glass protector. If you get one, try to get tempered glass of they make one. Built in protector on the case made my pen drag but tempered glass is like nothings there. Just be sure to apply it in a steamy bathroom so dust in the air doesn't get on the adhesive.

Really hoping someone comes out with a tempered glass screen protector. I sent an email in to MIME USA based on a thread about it for the 12.2 in the XDA forums where the feedback that one user got when inquiring was "if there's enough interest" they'd consider making one.

Then everyone should bombard them with emails so they will make one (;

Because I would definitely get one! Your post made me look up what a tempered screen protector actually was. Basing it off of the name I had a pretty good idea but I didn't even know those existed lol definitely gonna buy one!

Oh they're definitely worth it so far. I'll have to see how well this one holds up. I got the 9h hardness protector. It hasn't scratched at all and still looks brand new. I expect it to hold up for a few months.

Yeah I got my flimsy screen protector and it got a scratch like 2 months after :( and I pride myself of keeping my technology in perfect shape!

I practiced safe tableting with my original G-N8013, but it was the worst experience when it came to stroke and feel. So now I'm shields down....that's the way it should be.

Have not found a tempered glass one for the 12 yet. I asked bodyguardz if they were going to make one and they said they may. Bodyguardz has a great warranty. If after you order the screen protector, it breaks or has dust under it, you can get a replacement for about 10$ or so.

The best way to install tempered glass is to go into a bathroom with a hot shower and run it and get it all steamy to get the dust out so it will not get under the screen protector. There was a YouTube video on how to do it. I will not ever get another plastic screen protector. The tempered glass is so much clearer and the bodyguardz is resistant to finger prints.

Hi,

The screen protector shouldn't effect the stylus's touch ability and unless you're using the stylus aggressively (or lose your temper with Flappy Bird and hit the screen harder) using a stylus shouldn't damage or effect your screen.
