I just bought it the KB itself works great but the voice recognition and applying what it records in a text doesnt seem to work anyone else experiencing this?

I had this on my OG Droid for almost a year, from when it was still in beta. The voice recognition always worked well for me, much better than the stock kb's. Haven't tried it on the DB, I'm giving Swype a try first, had never used it before.

I found that with SwiftKey X that it randomly deleted the work that I was typing idk if it was me maybe tapping the backspace key but even if it was 3-4 letters in the whole word would get deleted. I actually use the Multitouch keyboard that comes with the phone and works great for me.

I tried it again yesterday....did not like it. Had trouble with the speech, got very weird corrections over and over. I used it on my DX2 some time ago, but I like Thumb Keyboard way better, especially the split keyboard in Landscape mode...rock on Bionic and especially on tablets.

Thumb Keyboard ? Beansoft

Once you get hooked on Swype, you won't look back. It's is incredibly fast and I so missed it on iPh. The hardest part is having your brain work with the entire keyboard for one hand. Surprisingly, it seems to be trained for only half the keyboard per hand. Took a while to locate the keys on the "other side", but after a while on the landscape keyboard (which was easier), I got so comfortable with it I can use it equally fast - if not faster - on the portrait keyboard. It's terrific!

I never use voice with swiftkey but after using it since I got the bionic even horribly misspelled words come out great.

The voice recognition works great its when you go to embed the recorded message into to a text message that it doesnt work. The settings menu pops up.

I was having this same problem too.I think I was hitting space then the backspace. I dontknow if that was it or not, but I don't know for sure.

I got Swiftkey X for free on my Xoom from Amazon a few weeks back when it was the free app of the day, but it would not install on the Xoom. Since it was listed in My Apps on Amazon, I decided to try it on the Bionic. Coming from Swype, I'm not sure if I can go back to a standard keyboard, but I am trying it out this weekend.:)

I really liked swiftkey with my TB. It worked well. When I switched to my Bionic, I started to experience some issues. The voice to text interpreted well, but didn't enter into the text or email. Very strange!! I switched to flex T9 and havent looked back. It uses dragon dictation as well as swype. Great KB!!!

Yah, I've had that problem with SwiftKey X too. Not only that, but the space bar often doesn't react to my touch (I tried Swype too and had the same problem). Very frustrating. I never had those problems with SwiftKey X on my Incredible. I've switched back to using the stock MultiTouch keyboard, like you. While it's not as convenient as Swiftkey X (can't just long-press a key for punctuations and other characters...and the word prediction isn't as good), it always registers my inputs and works perfectly. It's really too bad, as SwiftKey X is a great keyboard...but, it's apparently not optimized for use with the Bionic yet. Maybe an update will cure that.

I'm really glad people like Swype and Thumb KB, but the OP wasn't asking for a KB replacement. He was asking if anybody else was experiencing the same issues with SwiftKey X and I assume looking for a fix.

I too am having the same issue and here is your answer straight from their Knowledge Base. SwiftKey is aware of the Bionic issues and is working on it.

I'll post the link in my second post since the system won't let me post links until my post count is 1 or greater

Here is the link to the SwiftKey Knowledge Base I was referring to:

I'm having issues with Droid Bionic (words deleting, touch not registering etc) when using SwiftKey X!
