Newbie with a simple question

I getting a Kindle Fire HD for my wife's birthday, next month. My question is can we use the charger that came with our Samsung
Galaxy phone, or do we have to get yet another charger? Thank you all, in advance. Peace and goodwill to all.

I only use my GS3 charger. The kindle does come with its own usb charging cable so if your galaxy cable ever gets a short then you can use the cable that comes with the kindle.

I just started using my Kindle Fire HD & forgot to buy a charger; however, I'm using the charging cable that came with the Kindle and a different, spare ac adapter. I've heard debates about whether the "real" Kindle adapter takes less time to charge the device completely, but that would be the only difference to my knowledge. Unless you have any issues, I'd put the extra money toward other purchases. Happy reading!

my htc sensation charger is the same size so i lucked out there.

I use my Blackberry charger with a 6 foot cord for everything.
