Next lock screen takes a few seconds to respong

I love Microsoft Next lock screen in my Galaxy Note 3. However, 50% of times during the day, I need to wait 5-6 seconds after I slide my finger to initiate the unlock. I haven't been able to find out why it's doing this. Once is unlocked I can lock-unlock ok until it happens again after a while.
Does anybody have this problem?
