Nexu 5 Price drop?

Well they usually drop the price when there is a successor so they don't compete in sales, but the N5 is $300 less than the N6. I don't think it will be dropping anytime soon, and they're probably going to sell a ton in the coming weeks even at the regular price.

If the price hasn't dropped yet then I don't think it will. The Nexus 6 is the normal flagship price so the Nexus 5 still appeals to people that want to spend less on a smartphone with pure Android. I picked up a red Nexus 5 recently because it seemed like the Nexus 6, with the specs that were leaked, would be the normal $650 off contract price.

It doesn't look like the Nexus 5 is going anywhere. $649 for Mr. Piggy is not very Nexus.

I was hoping for a price drop, but I'll take what I can get (Nexus 5) now that I've seen the future.

The Nexus line hasn't always been a low cost phone. Previous Nexus phones were also priced around $649.99. The Nexus 5 will be the more affordable Nexus phone since it looks like they aren't removing it.

I got a used Nexus 5 a few weeks back. It's worth the money if you need an off-contract phone.

Ok so there was the Nexus S and it was $529 w/o contract, but wasn't that only offered through T-mobile and then Sprint?

I've got my doubts regarding a price cut. I just checked the store, and they only have the 32 GB white Nexus 5. Everything else is sold out.
