I love my Nexus 10, it's not going to get marshmallow, that much I know, my question is, how long do you think we can reliably use a Nexus 10 before it will need to be replaced?

I'll hang on to mine until it doesn't work any more - no idea how long that will be - but it's still a good device, great specs. I'm not one who always needs the newest toy.

That's what I'm thinking, I'm wondering how long lollipop is going to work good though? I use this tablet daily for video viewing.

I had the battery replaced in my Nexus 10 about 5 or 6 months ago and the device is still working absolutely flawless. I don't think you'll have to worry about lollipop not working for as long as you're going to own your Nexus 10. I still have an old Droid 4 that I bought back in February of 2012 and its running Ice Cream Sandwich and it works perfect. All I use it for is a hot spot for the most part, but it still gets app updates for all of the installed apps and every once in awhile I use it to play a game or surf the web and it still works just fine. So that leads me to believe that the Nexus 10 will live on for at least 2 or 3 more years. I plan on getting a Pixel C when it comes out. So at that point my Nexus 10 probably won't get a whole lot of use anymore. But it will still be nice to take along on road trips and take with me when I go on my motorcycle adventures so I don't have to risk my shiny new pixel C.
