I have been very happy with my Nexus 10 until recently my son told me that he was having trouble downloading an app from Google Play Store. I get to the app screen and press "Install" but I then get the rolling bar at the top of the screen and the app doesn't download from there. It's very frustrating as I recently ran out of memory and deleted a whole bunch of apps, only to realise I uninstalled some favorite apps and want to re-install them.

Many thanks in advance to whoever can help me out.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the web access otherwise normal for the tablet? Do you get any error messages? Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then Force Stop, and reopen it.

when in doubt reboot :)

clearing the cached data helps.

if you go Setting>storage you will get a break down of what is consuming the majority of your storage.

Personally I try to keep at least 2GB storage free at all times.
