Nexus 4 antenna issue

I have the latest Nexus 4 and I've had the same issue with the radio signal since day one. Even with 4.4.2 it's still the same. I just figured it was the area I live.. the T mobile coverage map shows my address being in a pretty good area but once I'm a couple miles from home the signal drops drastically. One inside forget it.. I'm constantly holding the phone on its side or upside down to get 1 bar. In town & where I work it's fine. I guess my complaint would be the antenna being on the bottom. Doesn't make sense to me at all. This is the only Nexus 4 downfall for me. A good WiFi calling app is a must.
