I would like to purchase a Nexus 4 and use it as an iPod Touch-style media player. Can the Nexus 4 be used with only WiFi? And if so, would I be able to update, or would that require cellular data?
Not sure it's the best choice for an iPod-like device given how fragile it is though.
I'm still naked after 3mos, but I baby it & knowingly roll the dice every time I leave the house.

I concur. Also, consider the following:
A 16GB N4 costs 349. With tax and shipping, that comes to a bit under 390.
A 32GB iPod Touch costs 299 with shipping.
So why not just get an iPod Touch if an "iPod-like" device is what you're after?
Thank you! I'm considering getting a prepaid plan, so I want something that would give me that option. Plus I get the best of both worlds: Samsung's Galaxy S + Google's Nexus.![]()
