Nexus 4: message not sent

What's happening nexus 4 and android lovers. I was wondering if someone else is having the same issue as me where the notification for a text message not sent won't go away and keeps coming back? I'm not sure what message it's referring to. All my messages are sent and received. I went through all my contact conversation and couldn't find it. Pretty sure it's a bug.
Does someone know how to fix this? Thanks

Are you sure there are no red warning exclamation sign next to any of your text messages?

Nothing. Lol. That's why it's so weird. I remove the notification and each time I open my text message app the notification comes back. "message not sent, check your messages"

never had a problem with text message. maybe it doesn't like just you.

My wife's nexus 4 hasn't done either. Maybe I should contact googs?

clear data cache in message app. it will go away. after that just reboot phone

I have this problem too.
I did have messages that hadn't sent, so I deleted them and then deleted the threads they belonged too, but now the 'messages not sent' alert refuses to go away.
I have tried clearing cash and rebooting, no such luck.
Any other thoughts?

Just had this issue come up today. Same problem as OP. I tried deleting cache and data then rebooting and as soon as I tapped the sms icon the "message not sent" appeared on the status bar. I have checked my conversations and all messages appear as sent.

Hi folks - I am having the same problem - this won't go away.
I did have an issue with one message not sending but I deleted the message and the thread it belonged to, no change; then I cleared the cache and the data in Message APP settings - it cleared the 'Message not sent' notification.
BUT every time I receive a new and valid text the Message not sent appears on alert bar (there are no red exclamations on the message list)
There must be a way to get rid of this?

Found the following solution that worked like a charm!

1. Install Handcent SMS from Android Marketplace
2. Launch Handcent SMS
3. Press Menu Button >> More + >> Undelivered messages
4. Here you can delete undelivered conversations and end your "messages not sent" woes!"

Hope it works for you as well!

Also solved screenshot issue. Without downloading some program and tethering to PC. So I stumbled on a few fixes here woohoo

I have a moto G with the same issue, keep getting the messages not sent notification, but all messages were sent. Cleared cache and data, installed handcent to delete undelivered messages, but they didn't delete. I don't wanna do a hard reset, but this is annoying

I am having the same problem. I've had my Nexus for almost a year and it just started doing this a week ago. I don't understand because all the messages are sent.

I am having the same issue on my nexus 4, but, according to android forums, other phone brands using Android are experiencing the same problem so I feel it is due to the recent upgrade of Android.

I am receiving similar message every time I text. Some kind of bug. You are not alone.
