Hey all,

A new Android (and smartphone in general) user and I just have to say that I *LOVE* the Nexus 4! I got it on Friday and everything was working fine, but after the 4.3 update I just can't get any data or send/receive MMS settings, which is a bummer because I loved using the phone I had for 2 days haha. I've tried various settings found online, but I can't make it work. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Not sure what could have happen. I am using Net10 and recieved the 4.3 update today. Updated and everything is working fine on Net10.

I would go back into the APN settings and delete the current Net10 APN settings and then shut down the phone. Once it starts backup go into the APN setting and reset them. This is what I would tr if it was me. Good Luck! I just wanted to let you know that it has to be a setting issue. Because I am working just fine with Net10 on 4.3.

Got it to work! Deleted all the APN settings I had, turned my phone off and on, and used these settings:

APN Name: NET10
APN: wap.tracfone
Port: 80
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32
MMS Port: 80

Re: Net 10 APN Settings Not Working After 4.3 Update

WELP, I'm back to square 1. After a few days of (awesome) use, my phone is now completely unfunctional. Whereas before I could at least get texts and phone calls, now I have absolutely nothing. I can't use data, send messages, make calls, or receive anything-and I've done nothing to change the phone! This issue has honestly completely messed up all my plans today, so any input as to how I can permanently solve this mess would be appreciated.

Wow it took me a long time to find the APN settings on Net10's site. You have to go to Home>GSM Phone Programming>and then choose the tap "If your carrier is AT&T"
Phone Programming | NET10

These are what I saw: (I am assuming you are Net10 on AT&T's sim card/tower. If you are using Net10 on Tmobile sim card/towers then the APN settings ARE NOT these, but on the above line they would be listed under the tab "If you carrier is T Mobile"

FIELD SETTINGS
NAME net10
APN tfdata
MMSC http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT 80

Enter these, save, and then delete any other APN setting that might be there. Turn off and restart your phone.
You can also try the nuclear option -- factory reset from the phone settings menu -- not a big deal and takes only about 10 minutes, but make sure you don't have any data you need on your phone and that you have access to wifi. Then re-enter the APN settings

Appreciate the help! Gave those APN settings a shot and still nothing though. This is such a pain! Everything was working without a hitch and suddenly I've got nothing-a completely dysfunctional phone. I just don't understand :'( Factory reset may be the only thing I can do. Thank you n_n

EDIT: WHOOPS, big mistake-it's not my APN settings that are faulty, it's that NET10 deactivated my phone for no apparent reason. I'm enrolled in the auto-refill monthly plan specifically to avoid situations like this, but for some reason my phone is still deactivated....the long battle with customer service begins.

NET10 deactivated my phone

At least it wasn't the APN settings and you know what the problem is. Good luck with customer service. Net10 support can be glacially slow. I always had to hang up and figure it out myself. You can reactivate online if for some reason they didn't bill you for this cycle, but reactivating requires refunding for a month.

When I change my apn to tfdata, my phone tells me I lost all data connectivity.
