Though Macs' are supposed to just work, it seems not with android. My windows Seven box you can plug in the phone and transfer files including music right away.
My hackintosh is blind to the device, I guess its a matter of not being a Iphone. Just another reason I boot up the Seven box more often.
My Nexus S running Jelly Bean just mounts on my Mac, so why does my Nexus 4 need this app? My computer hasn't changed and AFT spews quite a few errors in console.
Hmm? My Virgin Optimus wouldn't connect to imac without the Android File Transfer app. It's been a year since I had it so it may have recognized the device, but I couldn't transfer anything (except through bluetooth). I was wondering if it was an LG thing like their older chargers not working on other devices. My Nexus S running Jelly Bean just mounts on my Mac, so why does my Nexus 4 need this app?
