Nexus 4 Price Drop: 8GB $199, 16GB $249

Yes. What i meant is that if the phones not recovered, google calls it a lost, and someone happens to buy it they could be in for a surprise when they try to activate it.

Thought we were talking about selling ATT contract phone?

We were. But there was another side conversation about a lost shipment. The two got tangled. So, disregard those other comments about activation and surprise.

I believe we are in the same boat with the grandfathered plans, selling phones, etc..

I had been needing to replace my GS3, which I managed to drop and crack the screen something awful. I enjoyed the S3, but I just felt like there were way too many gimmicks in the UI, and I kinda got annoyed with it. Back when I ordered it, I was torn between the Galaxy and the Nexus, and went with the Galaxy. Now that I need to replace it, I decided to pay $100 more than I would for an insurance replacement and try out the Nexus, especially with it being unlocked. Out of curiosity, I asked at T-Mobile about getting one now that I'm switched to their new plans, and the down payment they wanted from me for the Nexus 4 was only $50 less than the new price on Google Play -- and I woulda had to keep paying on it!

So, long story short, I made the leap to the N4, and I'm waiting for it to get here Monday or Tuesday. I know the next Nexus will be coming soon, but I figure I'll enjoy the pure Google experience on the N4 for the great value it is. So glad I found out about the price cut!

Feel the same way. I like that the n5 is coming because we get the n4 on sale and you know all the cases and accessories will be on sale too!

This may be my new upgrade cycle. Seems a lot cheaper than having the newest phone every 18mo

:D

I really loved the pure android :-).

It finally arrived last night! This little guy is slippery! I bought the bumper to go with it, and that's pretty slick too. I may have to grab another case....

The unit doesn't have those little feet on the back, so I don't know if it's an older one. I put the ATT SIM in before turning it on, and it is working just fine. Hopefully it stays that way.

Now it's time to lower the price on my S3 so it sells a little more quickly!

I got my N4 on Wednesday, after a UPS hiccup that delayed it for a day, and so far, I've gotta say I love this phone! I also received my Seidio ACTIVE case yesterday, because after dropping my S3 and cracking the screen all to heck, I wanna keep this little guy safe and secure! I've gotta say, coming from the S3, I wish I'd gone with the N4 in the first place. It fits so much better in my hand, and running pure Android without all the UI gimmicks and without all the T-Mobile bloatware? B-E-A-utiful. :). The only thing I need to discover is how to optimize battery life, but as a long-time smartphone user, I've come to accept that's typically part of life with a new phone. I got her all updated to 4.3 Jelly Bean, and so far, no hiccups or problems at all. So glad I was able to snag this phone. I'm pleased enough so far that I don't really care how long the N5 takes -- if I keep getting the performance out of the N4 I'm getting, I'll happily keep her around a long time.
