My son's nexus 4 has a couple of dead stripes across the touch screen, although not in landscape weirdly. Ie what are vertical areas in landscape work fine.
There are a lot of threads on this subject. I've booted the phone in safe mode to see if it's an app causing the issue, but dead areas occur there too.
If not software, I assume it's the digitizer? If so, does anyone know of a shop in or near edinburgh that could repair? I've tried simplyfixit but they don't cater for nexus 4.
I've looked at a vid 're how to replace and it's beyond my capabilities
