Is the battery life of the N5 about the same as the N4? I'm thinking about ordering the N5 tomorrow. I just want the battery life to be at least as good as the N4 that I currently own.

Have used both. In my experience, the N5 is much better. Particularly with regard to standby battery life.

this question is very objective and will ultimately depend on the user. Are you the turn all non essential functions off, airplane mode only so I can show of my 17hrs of screen time and week long run on the battery only. Or the more piratical gaming, texting, calling type. I have both, and run times are about the same, I can still get a good days use out of each, and I still need to plug them both up at night.

I've had both phones and I would say the N5 is miles ahead of the N4. I've read so many comments about the battery and how its poor, but I've never witnessed anything but brilliant. I use my phone all day, not heavy usage, but not light either. I charge mines over night and before I put it on charge I have about 40% left, thats about 16 hours on battery.

Thanks for the replies. My N5 was delivered today and I'm loving it so far. It's really early but the battery life seems at least as good as my N4. Probably better considering I've been downloading all my apps.

I usually get 13-18 hours on my N5. The thing I don't like about the N5 is battery drain is never the same. Sometimes when I use my phone it drains slowly, other times it drains insanely fast. I'm not sure what the issue is but it really kills the experience as a whole for me.

Android 4.4 (or was it 4.3?) improved battery life slightly on both the N4 and N5. Many here who migrated from N4 to N5 are not comparing the same OS improvements.
