Nexus 5: About to order

Yeah it was really slick to hold. Actually hurt my hand if I held it with one hand. only thing I miss is the front speakers.

GS5

I'm rocking the M8 GPE, but I'm looking into the S5. I'd really like to get a hold of that camera.

Yeah I'm loving being able to hold the GS5 unlike the M8 I had to hold with 2

Although I am still considering going back to my Nexus 5. I just don't see how the GPE M8 justifies a premium of $300 over the N5. It is a more premium built phone, but other than that, it isn't a better phone. Screen might be a tad bit brighter and the battery is a tad bit better, but I don't know if that's worth the extra $300 - especially when I think the camera is much worse on the GPE M8.

Yeah me either. Best of luck to you

I use ATT also, but use them through Straight Talk. At $45 a month, I get unlimited calls, texts, and 2.5gb 4G data. You can't beat it. I will no longer be a slave for 2 yrs to anyone.

Meh Straight talk... it is $45 but I have heard they kicked people off their service because they used to much data without warning

The Google play version of the M8 has a better capacity battery so that alone would be reason for me to get it over the Nexus 5. The M8 also has a Micro SD card slot... Is is worth $300 that is up to you but i like the M8 GPE more then the nexus 5

I found out last night that you can store Play Movies and Shows to the SD card (I already knew about this capability with Play Music, but movies and shows was new to me). So that really changes some things for me. I still have a couple minor annoyances, but the battery, screen, and SD support might make this phone take the cake for me.

Unless you're like me, and have a charger at work, at home, in the car, and have a lipstick sized portable charger. Charging is not an issue for me, obviously. I definitely wouldn't pick a phone because of battery life. But hey, if want to spend an extra $300 to not have to charge it as much, it's your money. Enjoy your M8.

I sold my Nexus 5 based on the fact the battery life leaves a lot and i mean a lot to be desired .... I got the Note 3 instead

I will admit that I killed it every now and then, but I didn't have much issue on day to day activities. I gave it the occasional recharge for a little bit. But it made it through nearly every day with some battery left.

I usually didn't charge it at work. I'd toss it on the charger when I got home if it needed a boost and I didn't need to be messing with my phone. It usually gave me the boost I needed for the rest of the day.

Well it would be around 5%-10% by the time i got home from work so couldn't it earlier

I have a QI wireless charger next to my PC and one beside my easy chair. And with a charger in my car, my battery is absolutely no problem. I'm totally covered. I'm rarely ever below 80%.

If you're working and not using your phone, how was it running out of juice? If I use my phone sparingly while at work, it only goes down a few % by the time I get home.

Bad/weak signal strength I'm guessing.
