I would like to know if anyone knows how to disable the auto-correct on the Nexus 5 Device.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's marvelous, however, as someone that likes to write in multiple languages depending on the situation,
it becomes a hassle because the phone corrects it into something else.

Would it help if you could easily switch the auto correct between multiple languages?

Settings -> Language & Input -> Google Keyboard -> Settings -> Input Language. Place a check next to each language you use.

Now, when the keyboard is open, tap the world icon just left of the spacebar to instantly rotate between your input languages. Or, long press the spacebar to see a menu.

Well, i had already known that i could that, but isn't there just a way for me to completely disable it? Or is that really impossible?

There's an option in keyboard settings to turn autocorrect off.

All i see is an option to turn on or off a spell checker, but whether its on or off, it still corrects what i write. Unless we arent talking about the same settings. I don't see any keyboard settings that lets me turn auto correct off.

when you go down to keyboard and input method, the first one must be the defult and click the icon on the right hand side. Go down and you will see the auto correct. hope this help

Settings> language & input> [under 'keyboard & input methods you'll see 'default'] touch on 'Default'> set input methods> [now on right side of your default keyboard there's symbol for settings] settings> auto-correction: set it off. Get one step back. In the same list, below 'Auto-correction' there's 'Show correction suggestions'. Select always hide ! Done :)
