Hello all,

I am having some trouble with my Google Nexus 5 (rooted with custom recovery). I hadn't updated Android myself, but I suddenly found the phone stuck in the following cycle: the phone rebooted, and then the screen said "Android is upgrading: Starting Apps", and it says "Unfortunately, the process ___ has stopped" (different process), it then takes me to a Welcome screen and asks me to select a language. When I select English, the same cycle repeats, starting with the Google logo and then the colored dots (which take a while).

I have tried wiping cache, and then I get a screen that says "Root access possibly lost. Fix? - No -Yes Fix Root - Go Back". I selected Yes, but I am still having the same problem.

I have attached photos of the screens that I get. Any help would be greatly appreciated (bearing in mind that I am not as tech savvy as I probably should be)!

Thank you

No I haven't tried that yet. Does reflashing the ROM like you suggested erase the date on my phone? Also, I can't remember which Android version is running on the phone. Is there any way to check?

I tried wiping the data, and I also tried reflashing the ROM, but I get an error: "FAILED (remote: flash write failure)" (screenshot attached).

What could the issue be? And is there any way to fix it?
