So I dropped my Nexus onto a hard surface today. It seems to work fine but I'm concerned something internally may have been damaged?

Do I need to worry?

Thanks. I'm using a ringke slim case so maybe that absorbed all the impact I don't know. It doesn't rattle and wifi/bluetooth/speakers all work so can't notice any faults with it.

Could it have weakened any parts inside though?

They're solid-state devices inside I should have thought. You were lucky it didn't bust the glass.

No worry. I drop mine frequently in its case, and have a few times without. If it still works and the screen isn't broken, its fine.

Just be happy it still works! I dropped mine in a slimline sgp case and it still works but the bottom corner of the front glass cracked on the bottom bezel. Not on the screen itself but awful as I notice it all the time now. First time I've dropped a phone in years and it only fell a couple of feet. Clearly landed at the wrong angle!

I agree with the posts above. If it's working fine and no noticeable issues are popping up then there's nothing to worry about.

Maybe parts are weak now and close to breaking apart. Or maybe it's working fine because it is fine. Just take it day by day.
