Nexus 5 fell and when put to sleep , keeps restarting

So recently my nexus 5 fell pretty hard everything is fully functional but it keeps restarting when I put the phone to sleep like it won't restart when I'm using it , when I press the sleep button , after 10 seconds or so it restarts.
I do think it's a hardware problem but if the phone doesn't restart while using , I think it could be fixed by changing the sleep status somehow .
I don't know that's what I think could work
But I really need help.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it restart when the screen times out on its own, or only when you press the Power button? If it's only when you press the button, I would guess that the drop damaged the button's connection or circuitry. You might consider bringing it to a repair shops and see if they can fix it.

This probably won't do much, but try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition. This process can take up to 10 minutes on a Nexus 5, so be patient: http://forums.androidcentral.com/nexus-5-rooting-roms-hacks/352008-guide-nexus-5-recovery.html

I think you're clutching at straws here. It sounds like hardware to me I'm afraid. But would be glad to be proved wrong.

You can't "break" the ROM by dropping the phone. If anything is broken it's hardware.
