Nexus 5 - I think it's time...

what du mean by skip the 800 procceoror dou want an 800 or not sorry i got a little confused with the words u used

I'm saying it HAS to have the 800 snapdragon. With all these other new phones coming out with the 800, the Nexus SHOULD have the 800 too. Every one is thinking the G2 is going to be the specs the Nexus will have. I'm hoping because their nice specs.

yeah thats what i meant the incorpate into stock android they dont have exclusive features

What happen if they did not make it exclusive because talking about features baked in stock android like the rest of features?

GPe devices do not run aosp and are not designed in partnership with Google. They're OEM devices with a stock like OS built in their native framework.

Android 5 just might be possible since the new Nexus will be recieving updates straight from Google. The camera is possible since the Lumia 1020 has a 41 megapixel camera.

they wont use a 32mp camera, think about the price...

I would be happy if they based the Nexus 5 off of the G2, but one thing concerns me, the power button placement. LG address the button being on the back by adding this "knock knock" feature (which looks neat), which certainly will NOT be included in the Nexus.

yeah i want the buttons on the side and id like a little bit of bezel so i have a place to keep my thumb when im holding the phone

Google isn't going to let LG decide on the button placement. Basically the devices will be "relatives." Google will look at the G2 and tell LG what needs to be changed in order for it to be a Nexus device but things like the specs will mostly be the same. Look at side by side pictures of the Optimus G and Nexus 4 and you'll see what I mean. They're clearly similar, but Google made some changes.

yeah i agree with u

there is no way it will have 3gb of RAM... what is the purpose?
When Nexus 4 has an average of 1.4 GB free RAM.... That is plenty.

My prediction
LG will want there phone to be better then the Nexus which Google will agree with to hit a price point

Same processor 800
8mp Camera (with better low light)
2GB or DDR3 RAM
smaller screen... Either 4.7" or 5.0" with a lesser DPI
and 2500 mah battery
I believe they will make a 32GB version this year, but not 64

This phone will be awesome still. Especially with a processor like that, and a smaller screen helps computing power. So Im not complaining about a 4.7" screen. It will just make it faster, Plus my Nexus 4 feels great on size.
Thats my 2 cents

i think its going to be s800 1080p display size unkknown 2200+ battery and 13mp camera

Google, you're going to force us into the cloud then please provide phones with a MINIMUM of 32GB and at least 64GB an option. Seriously, you take away external storage and yet gimp us at 16/32GB!!! Imagine if Goog surprised us all and offered a 128GB version...yeah it would cost $$$ but I bet a lot of people would buy it.

Other than that, I'd be just fine with the current G2 specs.

im used to having a one x+ with 64gb and i walways had 1 full twrp backup on it so i think ill be fine with 32gb for 350 but ill pay an extra 50 for 64gb if it was an option

I have a One with 64gb and an S4 with a 64gb SD card (which I'll be selling to buy the Nexus 5...I'm not a fan of the S4), so I've gotten fairly used to being able to have everything anywhere at anytime. It would really disappoint me if Google botched storage again. I would easily pay another $50 or even $100 over the 32gb model (assuming there will be one) for 64gbs, and I know many other people would, too.

Take it with a grain of salt, as with all rumors. I doubt it will be Motorola, seeing that Google said that Motorola won't get any special treatment. Making a Nexus device might not be considered special treatment, but I'd this rumor is true, then I'm very sure that all the other OEMs will be furious. Not to mention that this statement comes the founder of a website that supposedly doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to reliability.
