"Nexus 5" may be called the "Nexus Pro"

Today I talked with an LG rep and he gave me an inside scoop on the latest from LG. I asked him what he knows on the upcoming Nexus device from LG and he told me that the name is still being decided. He told me that since Apple just released the 5c and 5s, Google and LG may stray away from the "5" and said that "Pro" is another option that they are looking towards. This makes sense. When I asked about the launch date, he didn't have an idea when it was launching. Still this is all speculation. And yes, I know this is in the Kit-Kat thread. What are your thoughts?

I agree. A big issue with the Nexus 7 is which one it it.

I think they should just do:
Nexus 7-13
Nexus 4-13

If they do a phablet then Nexus 5.5-13 or 6.2-13

Or even better take the lead and dump imperial. The Nexus 4 would have been the Nexus 134-12 (134mm. who the heck knows what .27") Google is forward thinking dump imperial and drag us to metric.

I told him about all the rumors. I told him that rumor was the 'Nexus whoever' was being launched next week coincided with the next version of android. He looked at me weird and said he didn't think the phone was being launched next week...which has me perplexed on what to believe. As far as kitkat goes, no information was given on it.

They do need to figure out a new plan. They can't call this one the Nexus 5, then the Nexus 6 in 2014, and the Nexus 7 in 2015. Because the Nexus 7 already exists.

Well this next week can be the long awaited week for the announcement. So let's sit tight and see how this whole thing is going to play out. I plan on sitting in a comfortable seat with my N7 with a kitkat while the announcement is happening. "Nexus 5" or "Nexu5" or what ever is fine with me.

Nexus Pro doesn't make much sense; Google clearly has a naming system in place between the 4, 7, and 10.

Heck, most employees didn't know 4.4 was being called KitKat, and at this point I'm quite sure the name isn't "still being decided."

I couldn't care less what it's called. I hope ordering one isn't the fustercluck it's been for the Nexus <prior model>.
