I want to buy a wireless charger but I have a case on my phone that I don't want to keep taking it off to charge. Will the wireless charger still work with a case on?

Re: Wireless charger.

It depends on the thickness and material of the case. The OEM flip case works fine on my wife's Nexus 5. The aftermarket case on her Nexus 7 pretty much blocks the charge connection.

Re: Wireless charger.

Impossible to answer without knowing which case you have.

Re: Wireless charger.

I've had 3 cases and all charged just fine. My current is the Spigen Neo Hybrid which is my favorite, works perfectly with wireless charging. The other 2 were the official Google bumper and some other cheap case.

Nexus 5 4.4.2 (rooted)

Re: Wireless charger.

I have the Trident Kraken ams case on my note 3 which is a pretty thick case and wireless charging works

Re: Wireless charger.

Most induction fields for wireless charging have about 10mm-15mm range which is more than enough for 99% of cases.

Re: Wireless charger.

Yes, you can have it charge with your case. My RAVPower wireless charger works perfectly with my Note3 with case and receiver inside.

I have a Tylt and it works with all cases my wife and I use. No issues even with bulky cases.
