Nexus 5: Your personal experience?

The Moto X was the other phone I was interested in. I would love to have the always on feature. But I bought the Note 3 instead and loved that phone. I said to myself that I wasn't going to buy another phone this year and keep the Note 3 because it was that good. Then the Nexus 5 was released and some guy who preordered the 32 GB model got it on the first day it shipped to people and put it on Craigslist for cash or exchange for a Note 3. It was too much. Seemed like the phone was calling me. I couldn't help myself.

Wise deciding brother. I have the note 3 and N5, and I prefer using the N5. I need to soon sell the note 3 and make the N5 my Daily driver. I heart my nexus!

Overall, I love my 32gb N5. It feels better in the hand than my gnex or N4. The camera is a huge upgrade over both above mentioned phones. The phone is smooth as butter and I have to say, its an overall much nicer experience. Calk quality is excellent and LTE with T-Mobile works just fine. The only downside that comes to mind is that the speaker leaves ALOT to be desired. Its very low and distorts easily at high levels. The audio quality through headphones however is top notch. As far as the screen being washed out, I don't see it that way. Colors are very accurate and they pop just fine for me. I highly recommend this phone over ANYTHING Samsung puts out with their cluttered, fugly interface.

From my personal experience, I don't have any reasons why I would take this if I already owned a gs4. It does however work great as an add a line on my family plan :-)

My experience with the Nexus 5 these past couple of days has been stellar. But then again I was coming from the S2 (epic 4g touch). It's a solid device, smooth, good hardware and is running the latest version of Android. I do think it's fair to compare it to the S4 as they are not the same devices in terms of hardware, design and software enhancements to support the technology.

If I was given a choice between the two it would still be the Nexus 5.

Backed up from Gmail account on my old phone that I had never used much as a email service first. Took Metro PCS about 3 minutes to put a Sim Card in that really put me on T-Mobiles networks. Then I signed into Gmail and all the Apps from both my phone and Nexus 7 down loaded all my stuff. The People contacts that were downloaded into my Nexus 5 were not from my old LG phone where I had 50 plus numbers with email address. They were only from my Gmail account that only had two contacts. So I had to type in all my phone contract records manually.

Had some issue with Hangout that is a Quirky UI. Had to delete every email address in the phone and gmail account since it gave me two records for every person SMS and MMS. Fired Hangout since I don't do Quirky UI and replaced with the 8SMS App. Now I am Happy Happy Happy.

My only issues were getting use to a new way of doing stuff on the N5. Hated all the sounds in the phone but the Zedge App fixed that. Did get a little confused about the new Photo and old Gallery folders that both had my pictures. Gallery is a legacy App from Android Open and Photo folder is Nexus.

I too had a GS4 and didn't think twice of going with the Nexus 5 the bloat free stock Android is like nothing else.. The Battery is not the best I do get around 17 hours, now don't have a case on it i'm sure when I do I will use it more so I will use more battery. But all around design so much better than GS4. I did get the 32GB because no SD card but 32 will be more than I need. I also like the Nexus because not everyone has it, in today's world everyone will pull out a Samsung or iPhone I just wanted to be different. The 5in screen is not like other 5in screens it fits good in one hand . The brightness makes it easy to to even in sunlight. And being the first to be able to run Android 4.4 is awesome. I had my Nexus 5 for about 1 week and would trade it for the world. Yes the speaker is a little low but if thats the only problem I would and have looked passed it. You did the right thing I hope you love you Nexus 5. :)

Can someone who has the Nexus 5 tell me how your experience with it has been? I ordered mine Saturday and it'll come in a couple weeks. I have a GS4 so I need to know primarily how battery life, call quality, LTE/WIFi speeds and display are, which I've heard are considerably worse than. If it doesn't stack up to the S4 I'm gonna return or cancel it.

Tell me about ALL aspects please
