Nexus 5X: Chase app needs an update

Hopefully they get an update soon. That's such a big feature that needs to be updated to work properly.
 
I actually called in and told them about it, but I'm not sure they're doing anything about it.
 
Rated mobile app 1 star with explanation and sent a secure message, referenced the androidcentral article and the reddit post in both. Will keep you posted if I hear back...
 
I bank with PNC Bank and their app is the same. I don't get physical checks often, but the few times I have since getting the 5X has made things difficult.

Same problem with the Wells Fargo app. Weird that it only seems to be banking apps that still have this issue. For the longest time, Wells Fargo wasn't even compatible with the 5X and you couldn't download the app at all.
 
Makes one wonder how "techie" our banks really are in terms of app development....

Indeed. Part of me wants to give them the benefit of the doubt though. Given the super sensitive nature of the content these apps handle, the developers surely have to be extra careful in rolling out updates which could explain these kinds of lags and delays.

It still works. It's just hard to center the check in the camera box. Adjusting the positioning requires that we move in the OPPOSITE direction that is intuitive.
 
Chase has written back to my inquiry with a long-winded response that actually included a date for when this will be fixed:

No update yet as of March 17, 2016. I just ran into this problem with Chase Mobile Banking app today after I got my Nexus 5X about a week ago. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed it gets fixed soon.
 
Just checked, it is fixed. Now we can deposit checks without having to stand on our heads.
