Not sure if this has been covered; I had looked but couldn't find info I was after...

Received my Nexus 6 yesterday and it wouldn't find the 5GHz signal on my wireless router (I've a lot of Apple stuff so always use 5GHz etc...)

Found out that the N6 won't see channels much about 36 (my router was set to 100-104) so I've changed it to 36-34 and it's spot on now with all devices inc. the Nexus 6 :)

Hope this helps!

Glad you got it going, but it's not true that the Nexus 6 will not connect on 5GHz upper channels. My wife's N6 has always run on 149 or 153 and typically does so at 270-320Mbps.

It's good practice when using 5GHz to use channels well over 100, over 150 if interference is not a problem.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

Ah; thanks for that

It wouldn't see any of the higher channels my Virgin Media SuperHub 2 was kicking out but would see all on and below 36!

Odd but I'm connected anyway so that's all was needed :)
