Nexus 6 - dislike??

Definitely a step up from my Samsung Galaxy S5. The Nexus 6 is a great... solid.. performing device. The 5.1 update made it all the better.

It's a little too big for me. Not too big when using it, but I'm not comfortable carrying it around the way I like to carry it around. Of course that's subjective and there's no way I can know if the phone is too big for anyone else.

Other than that, since the latest update, the phone is probably one of the best Android phones I've ever used — and I've used a few. I leave everything on, sync everything, and use the hell out of it.

I couldn't sleep last night so I was reading in bed when it beeped to tell me the battery was low. After this much use, it's allowed to be low.

I got similar results last week too. That update definitely made the N6 a beast.

Dislikes....

From a physical perspective:

I wish the back was as grippy as the Nexus 5... it's a little slick in the hand. That's about my only issue there.

From a software perspective:

I wish Google would have developed a device specific camera app for this phone. Google Camera is nice and all (HDR+ is legit), but it is can be somewhat sluggish focusing at times (and the refocusing on video is a bit annoying now and then). The sensor in this phone is extremely good and the short-comings of the Google Camera are glaringly apparent if you use something like Open Camera or FV-5.

That being said... this is a killer phone. The 5.1 update did wonders for polishing up what little rough edges were there... its smooth, stable and fast.

I was using the Galaxy S4 before I got the Nexus 6. I really like the Nexus 6 but there are some things that I really regret it doesn't have.

No functioning notification light. Ambient display just isn't a suitable replacement for a notification light. My GS4 could have been across the room and I would know I had a notification. That just can't happen on the Nexus 6.

No option to restart the phone. Only a power off option.

No volume limiter function for when using headphones.

No headphone icon to notify you that a headphone is plugged in.

I had the Note 4 before I got the Nexus 6. The only thing I really miss is the s-pen. The only things I don't miss are the home button and all the Samsung apps preloaded that I never used.

The only thing I wish my Nexus 6 had was led notification and double tap to wake. Well with out root.

Awesome phone. Could be a little smaller and a little less slippery (personal preference). I think it is one of the best phones on the market.

I like the size but it certainly could be less slippery.
