Hey everyone. Trying to root my nexus 6 via mac. I have installed android file transfer.

I have the phone in boot loader mode. OEM on. USB debugging on.

I have Windows running on my mac too.

But no matter what I do, as soon as I put it in boot loader mode it isn't recognized. Can someone PLEASE help me...

If you are using the Wug toolkit it expects the phone to be booted up rather than at the bootloader. There is a setting in wug that says your phone in in a boot loop that allows you to start at bootloader instead of booted.

Sent from my Nexus 6 running AICP 9.0

MKe sure you are not using an SS port. I have discovered, at least on my Samsung, that the computer does something different to the phone when plugged into an SS port. If you understand

Got it figured out. The one click ones wouldn't work, but terminal worked good.
