currently trying to decide between these two. Screen size won't bother me for nexus. If you could choose which one ?

Nexus 6. Why?

(1) Stock Android

(2) No Bloatware

(3) Bigger screen (IMO)

(4) Timely OS updates

(5) No TouchWiz.

I'd buy the nexus 6 but I'm biased because I did just that in January and I love it.

They're both great phones, it really just comes down to your priorities:

- The S6 has a better camera, both the speed of the camera and how well it performs under difficult lighting conditions (this isn't a knock on the excellent N6 camera, the S6 one just happens to be about the best camera you can get in a phone).

- The N6 has better battery life.

- The colors of the S6 screen are more accurate, but the N6 has a larger screen.

- Both are made with metal, but the S6 is also made out of glass on the back. "Premium feel" but with lower durability.

-The S6 has a fingerprint scanner, but it has archaic physical buttons as a result.

-Touchwiz isn't as awful as it used to be, but unadulterated Android and quick updates can be found on the N6 (along with speed, stability, etc., that others have mentioned above)

Like others I can say that I love my N6, but only you can decide which of those tradeoffs best suits you. Either way, good luck with your new device!

the S6 comes with some pretty cool features that the N6 doesn't have:
- Awesome fingerprint reader (works faster than my iPhone 6 Plus which has a great one too)
- Amazing, super high DPI screen - best I've ever seen
- Wireless charging (how did I ever live without this!)
- IR Blaster
- Rapid charging (I mean super rapid, up to 1.5% per minute!)
- Samsung Mobile Pay (will be accepted at far more locations than Apple Pay when it rolls out this summer)
- edge version is super unique and stunning!

N6 is also an awesome device and certainly has a lot of advantages as stated above. You really can't go wrong with either device. I just feel like Samsung really added some pretty cool things to the S6 and that it's the cutting edge phone for 2015.

Happy decision!

It came down to those 2 devices for me too.The only thing I wasn't crazy about was about was how big the Nexus 6 was but that was the only thing. After thinking about it since size was the only possible issue ,,I went with the Nexus 6. So far so Great ! :)

Just a correction, the N6 comes with both wireless charging and rapid charging (it has Motorola turbo charger in the box, which is the same as Samsung's rapid charger, just a different branding). Otherwise all good points!

If you're going to use it stock-out-of-the-box, then go with the S6. If you want to root and rom, go with the N6. While I haven't had or used the S6, I have used the Note 2,3 and 4, and the S3 up to the S5. I'm staying with the N6 for a while.

I couldn't have said it better!!!!!

I am for the nexus 6... Good luck😁

Both are superb phones and I had chance to test one I received on my business contract but decided to stick with the N6 mainly for all the reasons mentioned above

Stock Android ROM
No bloatware
Great battery life
Best sized screen I've seen for a mobile
Great usability/functionality etc...

I'm not overly arsed re the camera specs; I've a decent DSLR to take pictures with etc...

Plus the latest Samsung releases are a little too like Apple IMO, EVERYONES wants one and EVERYONE talks about them but start talking about Nexus devices and they generally don;t know about them or their specs etc...

The ONLY Samsung device I'll be interested in this year will be the Note 5, if they get it right!

I personally say the S6... but some may disagree. TW doesn't bother me, bloatware doesn't bother me (T-Mobile is light about it), and it runs great.

I have both.
I really like the screen and pure android...and the speakers and internal sound quality it top notch. I know ppl like the camera but it can't compare.

Because camera is important to me (I know some don't give a ****), I'm using the s6 more. TW isn't bad..I install Nova prime anyway so it looks like my Nexus.. Google now launcher will do that even more.

I find battery the same...

Some XDA users reported that their s6 edge devices we're receiving 5.1.1, before any other devices including the N6.

Using Nova prime is a good TW replacement. Even still I used TW for a week and a half before I got bored. Not nearly as bad as previous versions of TW
