Nexus 6 - Patient Buyers

I'm still rocking the Galaxy Nexus lol. I'm getting the Nexus 6 ASAP. I've been patient long enough.

So, who's not in a hurry to buy a Nexus 6? Are you waiting for reviews? Do you want to get your hands on one first to see if the phone is too big? Are you worried about any manufacturing defects in the early batches? Maybe you simply believe that good things come to those who wait?

I am waiting to hold one in hand. That and not stressing over Google's awful site that they have no clue how to launch a product is not worth it. Will be easy to go in store and grab one once they launch, and save on shipping charges as well. Maybe some year google will figure out how to handle a phone launch.

I think I made the mistake by getting the Moto X 2014 too fast, because I ended up being just as happy with the older version. Before I buy the N6, i want to know about:
-Battery life
-Camera quality
-How well are the new Android features that mimic Moto X features work
-How good are the stereo speakers
-How it compared to the Droid Turbo

The camera quality is probably is going to be the deciding factor for me.

I think it makes sense to wait for more info. We haven't seen real, full reviews. The final version of Lollipop just dropped today.

A couple questions off the top of my head: How good is the cell radio -- will it be more typical of Motorola (very good) or Nexus (not all that good)? Will T-Mo support wi-fi calling -- and how will it work? Will the Play store discount the N6 after all this initial craziness burns off?

I see no reason to not be patient and buy the phone that YOU want. For some that is the Nexus 6. I want this phone because as I have said before it is the perfect storm for a phone I have wanted. Phablet sized, made by Motorola, awesome specs, and Android L. So I am not even worried about any other phones as I want the pure Nexus experience I have become accustomed to. And with all those other things thrown in. I will wait for this to be released. Buy it and be a happy camper. Pretty simple for me. While I would like to see reviews on it, it won't sway my decision.... unless it falls apart in their hands or blows up. I am sure it will not be the best at everything, but for me, it will be...

yup I'm waiting for reviews and to to hold one. I am also considering the Moto Maxx. I will be patient so as to make sure I get the best phone for me.

Well I have a Note 4 already so I think I'm already out of the running for this one. I will just sit and observe what some of you think and read reviews, but I'm set till next year as I think the phones after this one is what will show justice to lollipop. I also think we are about to see a slew of actual 64bit processor phones that will most likely put the nexus to the back of the line. Also with Samsung starting from scratch on the Galaxy S6 and things stewing with the other OEM's I think I can wait to see how this all pans out. First year I think getting an Nexus might be a bad idea, especially since it is now up in the flagship price range.

If you already have a great phone IMO I think you should wait to see what 2015 brings.

The Nexus 6 is EXACTLY the Android phone I've been wanting. Screen, processor, radios, build. As long as the camera is as good or better than the 2014 Moto X, I'll be happy. I just got lucky and hit F5 at the right time and pre-ordered a 64gb Blue Nexus 6. I don't need reviews, I'll be my own reviewer. If it sucks, I'll return it. Google has a pretty solid return policy. But this is the phone I've been waiting for, so I was definitely impatient trying to order this thing. This along with a Chromebook will make a nice little Google pair.

The nexus 6 looks to be really great, but I can't afford to shell out the full price for a phone. I have to use my upgrades and take the price on the contract. Being I'm on Verizon I don't know that we'll see this before Christmas but my fingers are crossed. I was almost going to pull the trigger on the iPhone 6+ but I don't want to leave Android, especially now with Android L coming. Close to pulling the trigger on the Note 4 but the thought of Touchwiz scares me because of how bad it was on my S4. Have not seen a Droid Turbo in person so I can't comment on that and the reviews seem to be either really good or just mediocre. I have the 2013 Moto X and I love the OS, but the battery and camera are terrible on this thing. I don't use the camera much but my battery will not get me to 3pm without hunting down a charger. What to do, what to do
