Top 10 Camera Phones ever tested by DxOMark with overall score:

82 iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus
79 Galaxy S5, Sony Z3 and Z2
78 Nexus 6
77 Nokia 808 Pureview
76 Sony Z1
76 iPhone 5s
75 Galaxy S4

Nexus 6 enters DxOMark Top 10 for camera performance - GSMArena.com news

I bet a software upgrade or two to fix low light performance(Sony Sensor used is very capable) and tweak OIS and adjust slight pink white balance in overcast/cloudy conditions might even push the Nexus 6 into Number One!

Yes, Google/Motorola pulled out all stops and did not hold back on the Nexus 6. Finally a no-compromise pure Android Flagship!

Personally, I would have been thrilled with average camera performance because it is not even close to being a deciding factor for me but I am very excited to unexpectantly get a great camera phone as well...

Nothing aside from "LMAO" would suffice for a response.

I am sure there will be a number of them soon as well as upgrades from Google. Google did not create a platform with this much capability to not show it off. They are gunning for Number One Phablet position, in my opinion...

It's why I've got him set to ignore so I don't have to read his nonsense!

Because people like this are the ones who's money keep Google absolutely comfortable with train wreck launches and devices/software that no longer match their price tags.

I suspect it is would be the same as the S5 and one point above Nexus 6 (until the next Lollipop software update anyway :-)

You're not doing anything to help it though with the way you're posting. Why not take the time you spend here and instead dedicate it to be spent within the Note 4 forum? I'm sure they'd be more than excited to hear your enthusiasm and support towards the device and it's position in the smart phone world. I think it'd feel nicer for everybody involved, including yourself, for you to be posting in a positive manner in the right place than a negative manner in the wrong place, because at this point a lot of the negativity you bring is unnecessary and comes off purely as combative, creating a toxic environment with endless and repetitive back and forth that just isn't needed.

Nobody thinks you have to love the Nexus 6, or Google, so if you don't that's perfectly fine and another reason why we all appreciate Android because it's not your only choice out there. This is off-topic so I'll stop talking about it after this post, but please consider the reasonable option of just not spending your time somewhere you have no real reason to be. Especially if it's something that you don't want and aren't interested in, either. It's not doing anything helpful for anybody and it's not a healthy way to live life. Obviously you're free to do whatever you want, I hope you consider it though.

Is this just an assumption that I have some love affair with the Note 4? I do think it's a great phone, but I haven't really mentioned it much at all unless I compared battery sizes. I know it'll come up a lot because it's also a phablet, but I'm confused on why you automatically think I'm anti-Nexus because of the Note 4. I'm disappointed in the Nexus all on it's own, not because I want the Note 4 to be better. Although, gun to head, I'm sure it is. Quite a bit so.

Thank you for addressing the most important part of that message. Sorry this will be my last response, but I was just worried that's all you would take out of it and it was.

Doesn't matter.... Your not addressing the complaint.

I for one, have the note 4. I love it... But I am going to go the nexus 6. I am going to try it out and keep the one I prefer. Once I do, you can bet I won't go trolling the other phones forum.

It's an educated assumption based on you loving it enough to make it your profile picture.

I don't care how well the camera shoots on an S5 or Note, I can't get past the ugly back on them. The goofy rectangle that pokes out beyond the back. I really did consider it, but good grief, that is an ugly back.

I have a Note 2 and don't see enough of an upgrade to go with Note 4 but it is a solid phone. On the other hand, Nexus 6 provides 6 inch screen, Motorola build quality and cell radios, Google on feature, Lollipop right now instead of later, and very similar camera performance and battery life as Note 4 (rarely ever use the stylus )...

The cell radios is a big plus for me also, and one of the things I've always like about Motorola phones. I also liked the look of the Nexus 6 better.

Well I haven't posted in that forum once, nor have I really mentioned it here. I'm guessing it's a sore spot for future Nexus 6 owners or something? Makes sense.

No, YOU are a sore spot for every future Nexus owner on this forum. You show up out of nowhere once reviews are posted and all you can do is ignore every single positive comment made in every review and focus on the minority that talk about negatives. People provide proof against the things you say are terrible on the Nexus 6 and you reply to them with snarky comments. You are nothing more than a troll and you are doing nothing but trying to get people worked up, and yes, it is annoying.

It has nothing to do with "the truth hurts", either; it has to do with your approach and obvious lack of any positive thoughts toward the phone. Why are you even here? What do you get out of popping into every post to spew negativity and belittle people that post positive comments? I even checked your post history, you hadn't been active on this site since April and just yesterday you suddenly show up to be negative toward the Nexus 6 on the Nexus 6 forum... How about you just go away?

Come again?

Hmm quotes didn't post... Anyway, how would the S5 be a sore spot for future nexus owners?

I mean..... Come on. Your joking right?

These trolls are pretty hungry to keep coming back. But on to better things... I think this camera will be great for what I do. And the software will only get better as I believe Google will work hard to make this version of Android awesome since it is a huge upgrade in terms of UI and other things. While I take this review with a grain of salt as I do all the reviews I have seen, I can't wait to get it in my hands so I can see if this is the phone for me. Doesn't matter what the reviewers think, because they are not spending my $700 bucks and will not be using my phone.
