Looking for help here.

I have the Nexus 6P. Great phone. I have multiple email accounts including an Outlook.Com account. This is essentially the free version of O365. I use it for my consulting business and for the most part it works very well.

In setting up the phone, Marshmallow has done away with the old email app and now everything goes through the Gmail app. No problem. It set up fine and everything worked great for the first two weeks I had the phone.

On a trip this week, the Sync stopped working. I thought maybe it was the city I was in and Verizon was having problems. I went from Raleigh to Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale to Palm Springs ... no joy. I then tried it on wifi. No joy. Mail would not send or receive. I assumed it was Outlook.Com's fault.

Eventually, I thought it might be a configuration issue on my end. I deleted the account and then set it up new. Everything worked great!!! Yea!!! That was 3 days ago. Now, it has stopped again.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

There is a MS Outlook app in the Play Store. I have my outlook emails going to that versus having them come thru Gmail and no sync issues at all

When I tried MS Outlook app it didn't synchronize read/opened emails for me. I get notification when mew emails arrive but it will keep blinking until I open the app, even if emails were opened/deleted on PC a long time ago.

As for gmail/outlook.com - looks like it's the old bug from lollipop made it's way to marshmallow.

hi, im the exchange admin for my company. we use a on-prem exchange server so the hosted exchange 365 may be slightly different. can you login to your owa (outlook web access) and from that go to the options - see all options - phone. does your android device show up in the list to the right of phones? it may be there more than once, remove them all. remove the exchange email from your phone, add it back. does it work?

Thank you for the response. I went looking for this on the Outlook.Com website. I was not able to find it. I do believe you are correct on the issue. Anyone out there know how to do this?

Thanks again.
