Nexus 6P - Android 6.0.1 Rolling Out Starting Today

One change I noticed is that my Bluetooth headphones always had independent media volume before (the device volume and headphone volume adjusted separately). On 6.0.1, they now work the same way they do on a call: adjusting the volume on the device adjusts the headphones volume natively.

I'm having an issue right now where even at the lowest setting, the volume is incredibly loud. Appears to be an issue lots of people with bluetooth headsets are having. I appreciate the fact that I can adjust the volume of the phone with my headset though.

Received the updates on my 6P and Nexus 7 (2013) like 3 days ago. Crazy thing is I'm in China so I'm not really sure how the roll-out is staggered hahaha

There's obviously an issue with AT&T LTE with this build (maybe certain bands?). For me randomly if I reboot I get stuck on HSPA+...sucks.

I'm on Cricket (AT&T MVNO) and am seeing the same behavior, sometimes even when I can see the tower and am very close to it. After a while it will usually kick to LTE, but also seems to fall back to HSPA+ fairly frequently. Def. something got screwed up here. You would think that Google would test these things before they push them out.

Are you letting the ph just sit and do it's thing for a good amount of time?
After my install, it did the change between H/3g for about 20 minutes then LTE kicked in.
Try a spot in the house w the best signal and jsut turn airplane mode on..then off after 20/30 secs..

Yes, letting it sit overnight it does not change...always defaults to H+

You would think that Google would test these things before they push them out.

The issue existed in 6.0.0 as well. I occasionally lost LTE and went to HSPA or even EDGE while at home where I always have strong LTE signal. Waited for it to recover back to LTE and it wouldn't. I learned that if you go into Settings > Cellular Networks > Preferred Network Type, switch the preferred type to 2G...wait for it to connect EDGE and then switch back to LTE, it would come back instantly.

Minorly annoying and it happens about every other day or so.

Has anybody found a 3rd party keyboard that allows use of the new emoji in 6.0.1? I've tried SwiftKey and Fleksy and haven't found the emoji there even though I'm pretty sure SwiftKey had an update after the release of 6.0.1.

I've only seen them on the Google keyboard and I don't like using that one.

It is not just AT&T. Same issue on T-Mo. Bluetooth in car is now horrible. Wish I hadn't installed the update. :-(

SwiftKey has a beta that adds support for new emoji. Just a matter of time until it rolls out.

Many many many people are having problems after 6.01 update not getting consistent LTE any longer: LTE issues : 6.0.1 radio : US and Canadian C… | Huawei Nexus 6P
It get's stuck after reboot on 3g and won't hit LTE very well at all any longer. People have tried all kinds of things and it doesn't seem to be radio related either !

The LTE issue is pretty odd. I've updated my 6P & 5X without any noticeable problems. I'll count myself lucky.

I agree. So far no issues with my LTE on the update (or even before the update). I am on T-Mobile.

I am having the same issue with getting H+ instead of LTE on AT&T. I tried the airplane mode for a few seconds and then turned it off. I am now getting LTE. I'll keep checking and report back if this fixed it permanently or it was temporary.
